pool & facilities

Our pool is 15 ft x 8 ft and is above ground. It is approximately 3ft 10 deep and has 6 swim jets, 13 hydro-massage jets and is heated to a minimum temperature of 29 degrees.

Water hygiene is extremely important. We test the chemical and pH balance twice a day. The pool has a water purification system consisting of ozonator with injector and destructor.

Access to the pool is via a ramp with a non-slip surface. The pool has internal steps that help with initial access into the water and also offer a resting place between swims. The massage jets are located in these steps, which means dogs too disabled to swim can still benefit from the improved circulation that massage with warm water can provide.

The swim jets can be set at three different levels offering gentle resistance through to a vigorous workout for the very fit.

We use buoyancy aids on all dogs when they first come, even if they are swimming for fun. They will continue to wear a buoyancy aid until such time the dog is strong enough and confident enough to swim without one.

Dogs will be showered before and after their swim. We use a blaster to remove excess water from the dog's coat. Nervous dogs can be towel dried.
